Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. Place milk, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and 1/4 cup butter in saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Cool to lukewarm. Add dissolved yeast and set aside.
  2. In large mixing bowl combine flour, eggs and yeast mixture. Mix with dough hook until smooth and blended. Cover bowl and allow to rise for 45 minutes. Butter and flour a 9" cake pan and set aside (or use Baker's Joy spray).
  3. Pour dough into prepared cake pan, spreading dough evenly using a rubber spatula*. Let rise in warm place for another 45 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  4. Using the back of a wooden spoon, make indentations across the entire top of dough. Then using a food processor or fork, combine 1/4 cup cold butter, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until it resembles pebbles, and sprinkle over the dough. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool in pan on rack. Best served warm.
